幸福英语演讲稿1
Good morning everyone:
As we all know, happiness is something that every person is chasing. I always try my best to find out what is the true meaning of happiness. And I think I got it last week.
It was an ordinary Saturday morning. I felt a little tired because of the preparation for the mid-term exams. It was not long before my mother came in with a large bunch of white roses picked from the seller’s gardon. During the next few minutes, we were both busy putting them into a big cley case. Looking at the flowers, I found the dark sitting room became bright, so did my mood, just like a person gets some fresh air when he feels dizzy. All the feeling of boredom flew away.
Then I remember a poem named “Life could be worse”, which said:” For the weariness and aching muscles at the end of the day, because it means I have been capable of working hard. For my alarm that goes of in the early hours, because it means I am alive. And finally, for too much e-mail, because it means I have friends who are thinking of me. “I learnt that happiness is not the diamond in a necklace, nor a dream far away, it’s just your attitude towards life.
If you realize it, a simple cup of cola with ice can bring you a cool summer, for happiness is so ordinary that it’s right in the palm of your hand.
Thank you!

the road to happiness
it is a commonplace among moralists that you cannot get happiness by pursuing it. this is only true if you pursue it unwisely. gamblers at monte carlo are pursuing money, and most of them lose it instead, but there are other ways of pursuing money, which often succeed. so it is with happiness. if you pursue it by means of drink, you are forgetting the hangover. epicurus pursued it by living only in congenial society and eating only dry bread, supplemented by a little cheese on feast days. his method proved successful in his case, but he was a valetudinarian, and most people would need something more vigorous. for most people, the pursuit of happiness, unless supplemented in various ways, is too abstract and theoretical to be adequate as a personal rule of life. but i think that whatever personal rule of life you may choose it should not, except in rare and heroic cases, be incompatible with happiness. if you look around at the men and women whom you can call happy, you will see that they all have certain things in common.
the most important of these things is an activity which at most gradually builds up something that you are glad to see coming into existence. women who take an instinctive pleasure in their children can get this kind of satisfaction out of bringing up a family. artists and authors and men of science get happiness in this way if their own work seems good to them. but there are many humbler forms of the same kind of pleasure. many men who spend their working life in the city devote their weekends to voluntary and unremunerated toil in their gardens, and when the spring comes, they experience all the joys of having created beauty. the whole subject of happiness has, in my opinion, been treated too solemnly.
it had been thought that man cannot be happy without a theory of life or a religion. perhaps those who have been rendered unhappy by a bad theory may need a better theory to help them to recover, just as you may need a tonic when you have been ill. but when things are normal a man should be healthy without a tonic and happy without a theory. it is the simple things that really matter. if a man delights in his wife and children, has success in work, and finds pleasure in the alternation of day and night, spring and autumn, he will be happy whatever his philosophy may be. if, on the other hand, he finds his wife fateful, his children’s noise unendurable, and the office a nightmare; if in the daytime he longs for night, and at night sighs for the light of day, then what he needs is not a new philosophy but a new regimen--a different diet, or more exercise, or what not. man is an animal, and his happiness depends on his physiology more than he likes to think. this is a humble conclusion, but i cannot make myself disbelieve it. unhappy businessmen, i am convinced, would increase their happiness more by walking six miles every day than by any conceivable change of philosophy.
thangk you.

Happiness lies in dedication
Most of us have learned a story. A little puppy asks her mother, “Mummy, mummy, where’s happiness?” Her mother smiles and says, “It’s on your tale.” The puppy thus tries to reach her tale, only to find it’s impossible. At last, the mother tells her, “Honey, if you head up and walk straightforwards, happiness will follow you all around.” As for our human beings, we all pursuit it without realizing that happiness is si-mp-le in many ways. Meeting an old friend is happiness. Winning a game is happiness. Even now I’m standing here and giving my speech is also happiness.
Happiness is basically a state of mind. It’s not in the mere possession of money, power or other material. When we achieve something we’re longing for or do something we prefer to, a spiritual satisfaction is perceived, which in my opinion can be defined as happiness.
Happiness lies in the effort of dedication and in the joy of achievement. Let me share something of my experience as a volunteer for the German agent in the 2015 World Stamp Exhibition. During the five days, with another two volunteers, we’ve done a lot of cancellation and helped communicate with customers who came to our booth. We all felt tired but cheerful. I’ve learned to listen to others, to value their opinions, and to work in cooperation as a team member. In short, I think I can say that I’ve learned to be a better person through volunteering. And I believe it’s one of my unforgettable experience in life.
Every person, regardless of their position, has something to offer to humanity. We achieve our own value by dedicating to the society we live in. And we gain grate satisfaction through our sincere effort. In a word, if everyone does a little, we can make a big difference, to build a happier and more harmonious world.

What is happiness? share with you my ideas of happiness. What is happiness? It is what everyone is longing for. Sometimes happiness would be rather si-mp-le. Winning a game is happiness; getting a high grade in the exam is happiness; even now I am standing here giving my speech is somehow also happiness.
However, as far as a person’s whole life is concerned, happiness becomes very complicated(复杂的). Is fortune(财富) success? Is fame(名誉) happiness? Is high social status happiness? No, I don’t think so. Happiness in my mind is the attitude(态度) towards things. Nowadays, in the modern society there are many people who have much money, but the fact is they are not happy. My dictionary defines happy as "lucky" or "fortunate", but I think a better definition of
happiness is "the capacity for enjoyment(享受的能力)". The more we can enjoy what we have, the happier we are. It's easy to overlook(忽视) the pleasure we get from loving and being loved, the company of friends, the freedom to live where we please, even good health.
You never know where happiness will turn up(露面) next. When I asked friends what makes them happy, some
mentioned seemingly insignificant(微不足道) moments. "I hate shopping," one friend said. "But there's this clerk (职员)who always chats and really cheers me up(给我欢呼声). "
Another friend loves the telephone. "Every time it rings, I know someone is thinking about me. "
We all experience moments like these. Too few of (太多的)us register(记录) them as happiness.
While happiness may be more complex(复杂的) for us, the solution is the same as ever(但是获得幸福的途径永远是一样的.) Happiness isn't about what happens to us; it's about how we perceive(感知) what happens to us. It's the knack(诀窍) of finding a positive for every negative, and viewing a set-back(挫折) as a challenge. It's not wishing for what we don't have, but enjoying what we do possess(拥有).
So I think happiness is everywhere . ok, this is my
understanding about happiness, and what’s your definition of happiness? At last, Wish you all happy!
